Description
History
Irish Potatoes are a traditional Philadelphia confection that despite its name, is not from Ireland and does not contain any potatoes. The confection filling is made of cream cheese, butter, shredded coconut, vanilla extract, and confectioners sugar (powdered) and is rolled in cinnamon, resulting in an appearance reminiscent of a small potato. The treats are about the size of a large marble and are especially popular around St. Patrick’s Day.
